Services
Services are the heart of the Junior Service Club of St. Clair County. Our members volunteer their time and assistance to the agencies listed below. Click on a link or scroll down to learn more about our service agencies.
Art on the Square |
|
Art on the Square Art on the Square is intended to foster the appreciation of the visual and performing arts to a diverse public by presenting an exhibit and sale of fine art, providing education and enjoyable workshops for children and promoting the importance of the creative process. The weekend festival occurs annually in May at the square in downtown Belleville. JSC volunteers support this service by assisting the festival setup/teardown, providing artisit hospitality, and serving as community liasions. JSC Service Chair, Krystal Radcliff

Family Hospice of Belleville Family Hospice provides services to terminally ill patients who are living their final days at home and provides services to these patients' families. JSC volunteers services performed are Family Table, bereavement baskets, tree of memories. JSC Service Chair, Lindsay Costello
Four Fountains JSC members prepare cupcakes and play BINGO with the residents and distribute small prizes to the winners. JSC Service Chair, Barbie Reif
Illinois Center for Autism This is a non-profit, community based, mental health treatment and educational agency dedicated to serving people with autism. JSC members bake cookies, cupcakes and juice for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day Parties. JSC Service Chair, Caroline Connolly

Park Haven Care Center JSC members play BINGO and distribute small prizes. They also bake cupcakes and prepare punch that is given to the residents. JSC Service Chairs, Krystal Radcliff & Cortney Kreke
Project READ The goal of Project READ is to assist illiterate adult students who are trying to obtain their GED or to learn English as a second language through Southwestern Illinois College. JSC members donate book bags filled with school supplies, record books on cassettes and tutor students. JSC Service Chair, Kelly Darrigrand
S.A.V.E. S.A.V.E. (St. Clair Associated Vocational Enterprises) is a job training facility for the mentally handicapped. Junior Service Club provides support by hosting an annual Halloween Party for those clients able to participate. We provide games, activities, food, drinks and prizes. Senior Services Plus - JSC members pick up meals and deliver them to various homes along a set route. JSC Service Chair, Cyndi Butters
St. Vincent dePaul Mobile Kitchen Provides meals to the needy. JSC members prepare food and members ride on the bus and serve the food to the needy. JSC Service Chairs, Amy Katsikas & Heather Holland
Violence Prevention Center Serves victims of family crisis situations with primary focus on women, children and the elderly. Services include crisis intervention, prevention programs, children's programs, counseling for individuals and families and education. JSC members prepare going home kits for babies up to adult women, work in the shelter shop, work the front desk, wrap gifts for VPC fundraiser's, bake cookies for VPC cookie walk, donate valentine surprises and help clean the shelter. West End Redevelopoment Corporation (WERC) - a private, non-for-profit organization founded in December 2005 to serve the neighborhoods, which collectively are bounded by Routes 157, 161, 15 and 26th Street in Belleville, Illinois. This area is more commonly referred to as the "West End." WERC's mission is to serve as a catalyst for home ownership, neighborhood stabilization and community revitalization.
